Connector Pin Numbering
Figure C-2 shows how pins are numbered on DTE
connectors:
Figure C-2. Pin numbering system used for wiring
cabling.
The male DIN-8 connector is for a Macintosh cable. The
other connectors could be used on either cabling or adapters
(for example, a DB9-to-DB25 adapter).
